A really useful site if you need to find the lyrics to a song quickly. Can be a bit of a hit and miss affair because they seem to rely on other visitors submitting the lyrics, and you stand a better chance if you're looking for something in the mainstream, rather than some obscure Music Theatre song.

Preparing
your manuscript for presentation to a publisher.Helping you through the maze of
publication.
What preparation will my manuscript need?
Most publishers
are impressed to receive a manuscript that is clearly and professionally
presented on a CD without errors. We offer a number of services which will
combine to present your work in such a manner.
Appraisal
This is probably
one of our most important services. Uncertainties often haunt a writer's mind,
allowing lack of confidence to take over and make an author doubt their own
work. This is sad because so much hard work and research has gone into the
creation of their manuscript.
Passing your
manuscript around to family and friends for appraisal is not usually the best
solution. We have professionals who can give an honest and objective appraisal
of your work, and can indeed provide a critique. Once you are happy with the
manuscript, it is time to go ahead and complete the presentation.
Always remember,
we are here to help with those frequent little niggles. We have faced the same
quandaries, and know the comfort and reassurance that can be derived from a
'chat' about our work.
Typing services
We understand
that not everybody has access to a computer, but your manuscript needs to be
presented to a publisher as an electronic document. Typing is undertaken by
professional typists and is especially necessary for the writer without a
computer.
Proofreading
All manuscripts
need to be proofread to correct any errors that have crept in. A publisher will
expect a document that is ready for publication.
What is the proofreader looking for?
Nearly all
writers are fairly good typists, but as the author's mind races ahead, and
their fingers struggle to keep up, it seems inevitable that errors, or 'typos',
will occur. These will be spotted by one of our proofreaders, as will any
errors in punctuation. All corrections will be made in 'red' and sent back to
you for approval.
Book Reviews
A book review is
a critical examination of a book and is aimed at the potential reader. Some
authors have said that good reviews have substantially helped to sell their
books.
Book cover design
The first sight
that the public will have of your book will be its cover, so it is important
that it looks good. Our experienced graphic designers will work with you to
create an attractive book cover to enhance your work. This could be in the form
of an illustration or a computer-aided graphic design, using photographs and
text in a creative way. If you are unsure about how you would like the cover to
look, one of our designers will come up with an idea for you to approve.
Illustrations
Sometimes a
manuscript can be further enhanced by illustrations or diagrams within the
text. These can be produced in black and white or colour.
So what will I get?
You will be given
a CD containing your manuscript in a form that is ready for publication. A
further CD will be provided containing all finished artwork for your book, if
this is a requirement.
How much will the services cost me?
This will
obviously depend on which elements you choose to have, and the following should
give you a good indication of costs. You will need to know how many words are
in your manuscript, so that you can do the calculation.
Appraisal: £1.50 per 1,000 words
Typing services: £4 per 1,000 words
Proofreading: £4 per 1,000 words
Book reviews: 75p per 1,000 words
